![]() This is a friends to lovers romance, but as you can see, it's not that simple. The heroine has been in significant medical treatment the majority of her life which caused her character to have some interesting complexities. The hero is plagued by a dysfunctional perception of relationships due to poor modeling on his parents' part. Sleepless in Manhattan wasn't quite as enjoyable as #3 in my personal opinion, but it was a solid contemporary romance with surprising layers. Afterwards, I found the first two installments and quickly got started. ![]() ![]() I loved #3 which was themed perfectly for the holiday time in which I read it. I started this series with installment #3 because this is the type of series that allows you to do that. ![]()

Palpatine journeyed to Mustafar to save his apprentice, then outfitted him in a life-preserving suit of armor, transforming him into the half-machine Vader we all know and love. Palpatine also told Vader that he'd accidentally killed Padme and their unborn children back on Mustafar with that Force choke. ![]() Ultimately, Obi-Wan gained the high ground in the fight, severed both of Vader's legs, and left him near a lava ditch to die. ![]() Enraged by the idea that his old master and his wife were working together to betray him, he used the Force to choke Padme into unconsciousness, then engaged Obi-Wan in a duel. Obi-Wan and Padme, learning of his betrayal, followed him there to stop him. Vader then journeyed to Mustafar to kill the last Separatists and end Palpatine's engineered war. ![]() ![]() ![]() Approximately 4% of cases are diagnosed at this stage. In the aftermath of the events of Fallen (book 1 of the series) the demons and angels have agreed to an 18-day truce. She will not be coming back after she dies, so she is now in great danger because, in addition to the requisite teen angst over teh epic relationship, the outcome of Daniel and Luce’s love alters the balance of power in the war between angels and demons. ![]() Also, she has not been baptised, so this is her last life. In this incarnation, Luce is plagued by the sinister-looking shadows (I picture them resembling the Dementors from Harry Potter) that no one outside the supernatural world seems to be able to see. In every incarnation, Luce Price’s life draws her to the immortal Daniel Grigori, but the ending has always been the same. Lauren Kate’s Fallen series is about a girl who falls in love with a fallen angel before she dies at the age of 17 and is reborn. ![]() A page turner that raises more questions that it answers-just the kind of torment to reel Decadence right into another series. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More difficulties arise when Iris Barrington, the last of the three enigmatic women named in the duke’s will, unexpectedly arrives at Nicholas’ doorstep. Despite his handsome appearance and charm, Nicholas is burdened with financial difficulties due to his land-poor status. THE STORY: In the final installment of the trilogy, “The Duke’s Mysterious Heiress,” Nicholas Radnor finds himself in a precarious situation as the new Duke of Hollinburgh. Still, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging read. The story concludes satisfactorily, but I wanted more time for the couples to savor their happy endings at the end of the series. Nicholas and Iris’s relationship crackles with flirtation and intense chemistry. The Heiress Bride (A Duke's Heiress, #3) by Madeline HunterįINAL DECISION: This is a delightful historical romance. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I received this book for free from Netgalley in order to prepare an honest review. ![]() ![]() Do you notice something intriguing about the cover art? I hope people will enjoy the journey into The Seneca Society as much as I have. The extra-exciting part of this is the transmedia experience where readers can become engaged and devour the world of Seneca beyond the pages of the book. I love writing female protagonists– especially so in this case with Doro Campbell because I have two young daughters whom I want to inspire to seek knowledge and believe they can do anything their hearts desire. As I got deeper into the series I realized this to be a greater journey for myself too, one that parallels the heart of the story. This is a series that enters a techno-advanced, all too-perfect secret society where so much more is going on beneath the surface. My mind started churning out an idea that explores some of these things in a realistic, science-fiction what-if… The Seneca Society. 90’s hip-hop will always hold a special place in her heart, and her parents’ LP collection that includes the Stones, Beatles and Dylan is one of her most valued possessions. Rayya grew up on fresh Mediterranean food and an eclectic palette of music. ![]() ![]() I started reading all about emerging technologies and ideas for what might be in the future of transportation, medicine, communication, food, anything really. Most recently she wrote her first novel, Seneca Rebel. I was super fascinated by the ideas presented in the movie. Several years ago I watched a documentary called Transcendent Man that introduced me to technologist Ray Kurzweil and his futurist theories. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s official-my traitorous chin is growing a zit. ![]() With the hilarious and heartwarming tone of Dork Diaries, Grow Up, Tahlia Wilkins! is a coming-of-age middle-grade novel about growing up, in all of its awkward glory. ![]() ![]() Take a dip into a fountain to get quarters for a bathroom period product dispenser?
